Penny's basset hounds

Hello there, thank you so much for your interest in our basset hound puppies. We are no longer breeding our dogs. Our family breed basset hound puppies in Houston Texas for over eight years. We learned a lot about how to raise healthy puppies throughout our journey.  We gave several tips to our customers over the years. One of the big tips for basset hounds is for ear health. Those big floppy ears tend to hold moisture which can lead to yeast infections. In a healthy ear you can use equal amounts of vinegar and rubbing alcohol mix it half and half in a plastic bottle that you can squeeze a few drops in each ear. Whip it out with a towel. Remember this is for maintenance on a healthy ear, NOT when the dog has a infection. Over the years we have learned that a natural approach for our health and our pets health has been beneficial  to alleviate synthetics from our lives as much as we can possible can. I look for quality companies that back the products they produce. And what we found is that we are not having as many health issues and neither are our dogs. Now I have to say I am not a veterinarian. None of these recommendations are meant to take the place of veterinary care, especially with serious health issues. This gives you holistic/natural options or adjunct (in addition to veterinary treatments) for the care of your dog. Please take your dog to your veterinarian if health issues does not improve in a reasonable time. Getting an accurate diagnosis will help you decide the route of treatment for your dog. Additionally, these oils help the drugs your dog is on to be better interpreted and used by the body and to help reduce potential drug side effects. Some of the must have oils for dogs include lavender, frankincense, peppermint, DigestZen, Terrashield, Helichrysum, geranium, lemongrass, OnGuard, rosemary, Serenity, Balance, Breathe, DDR oil blend, IQ mega oil blend, Melaleuca for dogs that are NOT toy breed/or puppy. Other oils good for dogs basil, bergamot, roman camomile, eucalyptus, lemon, marjoram, clary sage, rosemary, patchouli, sandalwood, zendocrine oil blend, purity (only for dogs over 25/30 lbs or puppies older than 3 months because it contains melaleuca) other products we have used to keep away from synthetics has been the salon essentials shampoo, A2Z chewables, Zendocrine capsules, OnGuard hand soap, OnGuard household cleaner for cleaning surfaces and bedding. Please fill free to contact me for more information on any of these products or how we use them. Click on the healthy tips below for some more health ideas. We hope you continue to follow our journey in natural alternatives for health of people and pets. And if you enjoy camping or tiny houses be sure to check the link above tiny camp shack.
